Tale of a Trespassing Beaver
To quote from a Facebook post by a local police department in Alberta, Canada:
On Wednesday, April 8, Hanna RCMP were called to a local business for a report of a trespasser refusing to leave as the business was closing. The subject was described as disoriented, wearing all brown, and was approximately two feet tall and weighing approximately 40 pounds.
A Hanna RCMP officer quickly responded and utilized de-escalation techniques on the subject. It is possible the subject may have been attempting to steal the business' firewood in the entrance-way to use for home-building, although this motive has not been confirmed at this time.
After much coaxing and no use-of-force, the subject was ushered out of the business, and no arrest was required, however his identity was not confirmed. A photo of the subject has been included in this media release in case he emerges at other locations around the town of Hanna. He is not considered armed or dangerous, although his tail was pretty big.
